I''ve tested the download page but it leads me to another page that's totally different than XPort 360. Unfortunately, the software wasn't found on that page as well and you need to rely on Google. Access Google and type "XPort 360 Digiex".
You'll find a website where the software is hosted and it's available for downloading. I've tested the installer and it appears that's the actual software.
Even if the size is the same and the HDD uses habitual disk drivers, the answer is no. You cannot use the full size of an HDD to replace your XBOX HDD because the drives are made for custom use. However, most Western Digital drives work normally, but only when they have been customized with a 3rd party tool to enable XBOX storage.
You cannot connect the application directly to XBOX because you will need to connect the hard drive of the 360 to the PC through a SATA interface. Once connected the application will recognize the discs and access its contents. This is the way to connect the drive to the PC.
After re-installing my Windows 7 Ultimate X64 my Xport 2.12 crashes when I open my Xbox HDD. Is there a fix?

I have installed the application and it's working just right. The version tested was 2.12 and there was a message when I have first started it. You will need to run the application as Administrator and it should work normally. I have seen that users on various forums encountered the same error and when the tool was launched with Administrator rights, it worked well detecting the HDDs.
When I want to install XPort 360, it sends me towards https://acrobat.adobe.com/fr/fr/acrobat.html
